Donate to help us winter-proof our stables.
Our first winter in our new home, winter 2023, presented us with a tremendous challenge: Flooded fields, knee-deep in thick clay, and field shelter overwhelmed by mud. The consequences were dire. All our horses were affected by the dreaded mud fever. We had to cancel over 120 client sessions over four months, and vulnerable young people missed out on much-needed mental health support.
We can’t let that happen again. We have a plan to secure our site thanks to our supporters from Jelka.co.uk and the Round Pen Company. Now we need your help to make it happen. Every donation makes a difference.
With your help we will
Secure a weatherproof dry base for our Round Pen from the Round Pen Company to create additional all-weather therapy space. Without it, we have to reduce our service to just one session at a time, potentially turning away up to 150 vulnerable young people.
Create a new dry area in the field to support the horses' physical and mental well-being.
Add a shelter next to our arena to keep our young people, staff, and working horses dry while working during the wet winter months.
Purchase more essential outdoor work gear to keep our young people, staff and horses warm and safe - think yard boots and warms coats for clients, and waterproof rugs for our equine staff members.
Mental health challenges can affect anyone, any time of the year. With your help, we won’t have to turn anyone away this winter.
